Single sign on OpenAthens authentication for BrowZine personalization
If a user logs in with OpenAthens, an additional BrowZine account should not be necessary.

Include Abstact Images in the ToC
Enable images associated with the abstracts to be visible in the ToC. This is especially import for chemistry journals, as the abstract images contain significantly more information than the title.

Have a simple list of titles as an alternative to the bookshelves which display too little
The bookshelves for My Library display too few titles - I'd prefer a simple list, which would enable perhaps 25 titles on a screen - the bookshelf display might be suitable for kids but it's not really necessary for Browzine's users.
2 votesI presume you are referring to the iPad version of the application? If so, know that this modality will be going away with a UI refresh we are working on. While it will still have cover images for recognition, this will allow for more information density to be viewed similar to browzine.com. Thank you!

Allow customizable journal title selection for the widget
It would be useful to be able to select specific titles to be displayed on the widget. This would mean they could be in different subject areas, allow more personalized choices, and avoid embargoed titles.

Sub-collection
In My Articles allow me to create a sub-collections under a main collection. For example Under Cystic Fibrosis allow sub-collections for diagnosis, treatment, etc.

Switch the default order of journals in subjects
At the moment, if a user clicks on a subject the default order is alphabetical which to me does not seem very useful for browsing. If the user had known the title he would have entered it into the search slot (that works very well!) I would prefer having the journals ordered by SJR value instead so I can see more important journals in a field I'm perhaps not very experienced with (as I don't know many journal titles ...)

allow sort option for the widget
Allow libraries to select title or rank sort for the "Explore journals" link from the marketing widget. Apparently it used to be only sortable by title and now it's only sortable by rank due to user feedback -- giving the choice (even if it requires manually editing the generated code) would satisfy both camps.

Allow for modification of the "Access Provided By" text
The text appearing above our university logo on the BrowZine home page reads "Access Provided By." Ideally, we would have the option to modify or remove it.

Primo integration: Add a mouseover to the text View Issue Contents to indicate to users that they are linking to an external system
To help to make it clear to users that they are linking to an external system (i.e. leaving Primo), it would be great if a customisable mouseover could be added to the text View Issue Contents.

We'd like this sorting enhancement, please...
Using the sorting option, titles with current full text would be displayed first, followed by embargoed content, with unsubscribed titles last.

Sync items in my bookshelf to my favourites in Primo
As it is possible to integrate BrowZine within Primo it would be useful if article information saved to the my bookshelf could be synced to display in a users Primo my favourites area. Otherwise students will have to check 2 different accounts for saved items.

Allow multiple subjects in Widgets
I'm a librarian and have created several subject area widgets for disciplines I work with. Sometimes however your subjects don't match my institution's majors well and I'd love to be able to choose multiple subjects from the list when I make widgets. An example would be I'd like to be able to choose Women's Studies and LGBT Studies together.
Thanks for considering.2 votes -
Support multiple sources of access
For several of our journals, we have access to some years through one source and other years through a different source. Right now, BrowZine only supports one source and chooses the one that provides the most access. We would like BrowZine to support multiple sources so we can have our complete access available.

implement a filter to highlight unread papers
Hi,
Great app. I use it almost on a daily basis to check for new articles in my field. Some journal issues are quite long and new papers keep on appearing. Would it be possible to add a button to filter out unread articles within an issue? The blue circle helps but it isn’t enough (IMHO).
Thanks

Export bookshelves and article collections
It would be very useful to be able to export a complete bookshelf or article collection to a list of URL's and to a libguide table.

Include basic PDF markup capabilities in Browzine
It'd be great to be able to do basic markup in the PDF view in Browzine—even just highlighting would be fantastic. A lot of academics like to mark up PDFs while reading and then store the marked-up version in a Zotero or Mendeley library. Browzine is fantastic at retrieving and then uploading to a personal library, but the middle markup step is missing. I used to be able to make it work with Papership or Zotfile, both of which are now defunct. I can export to iAnnotate or some other annotation app, but I can't then get it into Zotero…

In addition to BrowZine search results, include further option "None of these? Search your library catalogue"
If a user performs a search in BrowZine and BrowZine finds no results, the user will be presented with a link saying 'No matches for “XXXXX”. Title may not be BrowZine enabled at this time, but still available at your library. Please click here to search for your title again at your library.'
This option to search in your library holdings this option is only presented if BrowZine finds NO matches to the search. If BrowZine finds any matches - either in journals supported by BrowZine, or journals not supported by BrowZine - then the only options are those presented…

Give librarians a list of users at their institution
We need a way to track adoption of BrowZine by our users, as well as a way to notifiy them of expected changes to the service. Apparently, this is not currently possible in BrowZine. Yet almost every publisher or database provider can provide librarians with lists of users from their institution.
