I suggest you ...

Add an overall category for to the marketing widget

The categories are great for our faculties, but for our Digital Library we would like the possibility to show journals from all categories in the widget.

        I added code to the widget code to generate a random number between 57 and 67 (which appear to be the IDs for all the top level categories). Then each time someone visits the page with the widget,. they see a different category of journal covers. See (http://guides.lib.vt.edu/find/journals/browzine/index) for it in action.

        In your widget code, look for categories=[57] where 57 is the sample category you selected when generating the widget.

        Replace the number with the code so you get

        categories=['+Math.floor(Math.random()*(67 - 57) + 57)+']

        where 57 is the lowest category ID and 67 the highest. You could include IDs for sub-categories, but I'm not sure all numbers above 99 are used. If you include an ID that isn't valid, you get the generic BrowZine image.
