Add dates to articles in Browzine
It would be helpful if dates were added for articles.

Option to sort the articles so that new articles come at the top
For open journals, there are usually hundreds of articles per issue and they are continuously updated. It would be useful if we could have an option to sort the articles by date (new to old, or something like that) rather than having to scroll all the way down.

Add Journal Month to Issue #'s
Have ever considered adding months of the issues to the issue numbers in the list of issues on the left hand side? Most journals are citing only month and year now and it's just an extra steps to convert issue numbers in Browzine to the month in the citations.

Create a new top level taxonomy link for Language, Literature and Linguistics in the BrowZine Subject Area list
Create a new top level taxonomy item for Language, Literature and Linguistics instead of putting it under Social Sciences

audio
It would be great if there could be an audio option added for BrowZine articles. For example, it would be perfect if I could listen to BrowZine articles while jogging at the gym.

Enable "Universal Links" for BrowZine
I'm suggesting that you enable Universal Links. On a device with the BrowZine app, a BrowZine Web (https) link to an article or journal would open in the app instead of the browser.
A similar idea was posted and closed a few years ago (https://support.thirdiron.com/forums/181845-browzine-features/suggestions/6675132-create-persistent-links-to-open-within-browzine). But it was not fully implemented.
More about this here: http://bula.us/SomeLinks.html.

Thanks for this Bob! Our team actually just talked about concepts similar to this and I appreciate your “mockup” to help describe what you are after! There is some underlying tech we need to work out on our end first so we’ll update this as we get closer to being able to start on this!

Single sign on OpenAthens authentication for BrowZine personalization
If a user logs in with OpenAthens, an additional BrowZine account should not be necessary.

OpenAthens validation in app
In the BrowZine app new users at our institution are prompted with OpenAthens login. For some reason wrong username and password combinations are accepted.
Suggestion 1: validate Openathens credentials. Or even better: Suggestion 2: allow for OpenAthens personalisation:

Adding an "Notebook" function to "My Articles"
After reading a paper, I really want to write down some notes about the paper, like "the main purpose of the paper", "the interesting points of the paper", etc. It is very useful for future review. However, under each item (paper), we can only download, export citation or share. It would be much convenient if we could add some notes under each item.

Have a simple list of titles as an alternative to the bookshelves which display too little
The bookshelves for My Library display too few titles - I'd prefer a simple list, which would enable perhaps 25 titles on a screen - the bookshelf display might be suitable for kids but it's not really necessary for Browzine's users.
8 votesI presume you are referring to the iPad version of the application? If so, know that this modality will be going away with a UI refresh we are working on. While it will still have cover images for recognition, this will allow for more information density to be viewed similar to browzine.com. Thank you!

Enable support for abstract-only "articles"
Some publications include links not out to full text but to abstracts, perhaps highlighting presentations at recent conferences or announcing future papers, etc. Currently BrowZine ignores these as "non-articles" but knowing about these could be beneficial to some researchers in the BrowZine environment such as linking to abstracts like this from JCO:

In addition to BrowZine search results, include further option "None of these? Search your library catalogue"
If a user performs a search in BrowZine and BrowZine finds no results, the user will be presented with a link saying 'No matches for “XXXXX”. Title may not be BrowZine enabled at this time, but still available at your library. Please click here to search for your title again at your library.'
This option to search in your library holdings this option is only presented if BrowZine finds NO matches to the search. If BrowZine finds any matches - either in journals supported by BrowZine, or journals not supported by BrowZine - then the only options are those presented…

TOC enhancements
Visualization of TOC for a journal can be largely improved, at least for the mobile app. I have here some suggestions:
- possibility to sort in different ways (newest first/last, unread first/last)
- possibility to hide read articles
- add gestures to mark as read (swipe)
- visualize TOC as list of titles (as now) or list of titles with abstract (at least few words of it)2 votes -

Add an option to show BibTeX data in .html
Some users' workflows involve copying and pasting BibTeX information, vs. downloading a .bib file. This is the user experience for Google Scholar.
Not sure whether changing to just .html would be best, or changing to add another option, e.g.: BibTeX (download) and BibTeX (.html)

Switch the default order of journals in subjects
At the moment, if a user clicks on a subject the default order is alphabetical which to me does not seem very useful for browsing. If the user had known the title he would have entered it into the search slot (that works very well!) I would prefer having the journals ordered by SJR value instead so I can see more important journals in a field I'm perhaps not very experienced with (as I don't know many journal titles ...)

Allow customizable journal title selection for the widget
It would be useful to be able to select specific titles to be displayed on the widget. This would mean they could be in different subject areas, allow more personalized choices, and avoid embargoed titles.

Export bookshelves and article collections
It would be very useful to be able to export a complete bookshelf or article collection to a list of URL's and to a libguide table.

Sub-collection
In My Articles allow me to create a sub-collections under a main collection. For example Under Cystic Fibrosis allow sub-collections for diagnosis, treatment, etc.
