Add email notifications when a new issue is released for a journal on your bookshelf
Add email notifications when a new issue is released for a journal on your bookshelf. I Currently have to go in and check, so it would be nice if I could be prompted.
thanks,

Share shelfs with other users
It would be great if a user could have multiple shelfs and share shelfs with other users. Sharing both journals and specific articles. For example: A professor could compile a shelf for a specfic masters course and share it with the students.

We will be moving ahead with sharing Articles via the forthcoming “Reading List” feature. However, Sharing a “shelf” is still something we are considering the best options for. Will keep you posted!

Provide support for adding non-library subscribed titles to My Bookshelf
A researcher may have individual subscriptions available to them and/or they are interested only in receiving TOC alerts for a title the library as a whole may not subscribe to. Provide a way to put these titles as well on My Bookshelf for easy access to these titles as well.

Filter to show unread articles only within a Journal
Toggle for display "All" vs "Unread Only".
Some journals in BrowZine do not have adequate metadata to put articles in page number order (or they may not have page numbers to begin with!) and so are filed in alphabetical order. For continuously-published titles this means that unread articles may appear in a seemingly random order.
There is also a scenario where page number/article ID is present but because of a title being continuously published, the new articles appear at the BOTTOM of a potentially very long table of contents making it cumbersome to scroll all the way to the bottom…

In addition to BrowZine search results, include further option "None of these? Search your library catalogue"
If a user performs a search in BrowZine and BrowZine finds no results, the user will be presented with a link saying 'No matches for “XXXXX”. Title may not be BrowZine enabled at this time, but still available at your library. Please click here to search for your title again at your library.'
This option to search in your library holdings this option is only presented if BrowZine finds NO matches to the search. If BrowZine finds any matches - either in journals supported by BrowZine, or journals not supported by BrowZine - then the only options are those presented…

Allow libraries to customize messaging that shows up for embargoed journal issues (for ILL/Link Resolver integration)
Allow libraries to customize this to more specifically address ILL or Link Resolver integrations.
Specific features to customize:
1) Messaging in orange highlighted box on TOC page
2) Messaging in interstitial window: "Your library does not have the full text of:" ... "... but we may be able to get it for you!"
3) Wording of button/link text (currently says: "Request this item and/or check additional sources"31 votes -

Add ability to link from TOC to publisher's website
A user suggested the ability to link right to the home page of the journal on the publisher's site in order to learn more about the journal as well as to potentially see other non-periodical content.
27 votesOur mistake on this one! Not all components of this feature are complete, so this was set to complete prematurely. Apologies for the mistake!

Increase the number of journals allowed on each shelf.
There are currently only 4 journals allowed on each shelf. I have my shelves (and book cases) categorized and it would be nice to be able to fit all journals of interest in that specific category. Unlimited number of journals per shelf would be idea, but dramatically increasing the number of journals per shelf is needed.

Enable a user to have more than one library affiliation without logging out
This is a fairly common scenario for faculty and students who are in Medicine, for example, and who may have access to both resources available at a hospital library as well as a university.

We are investigating the possibilities of providing this feature!

Provide support for searching for titles by abbreviation
Many users are familiar with standard abbreviations for their titles, so allowing the search to be able to translate these abbreviations into relevant titles would be helpful to them.

Make it possible to mark an article as "unread" again
It's not frequent, but sometimes I'll see an article I really like, click it and get the "Not available yet, try later" error. I'd like to keep it unread so I remember to go back it later, but apparently "once clicked, always read."
Not a big deal, just for your consideration. Thanks!

Change system message when there's no match for a title or the title has no ISSN
If I search for a title in any of these categories
- Not included in our BrowZine instance
- Not included in our OCLC A-Z list
- Does not have an ISSN
I receive this message:
"No matches for <title>. Title may not be BrowZine enabled at this time, but still available at your library. Please click here to search for your title again at your library."
I would like for it to read:
"No matches for <title>. Please click here to search for the title in your library's journals list."
Please either change the message globally or allow customization of each instance's…
