Create persistent links to open within Browzine
Not sure if this is even technically possible, but I've had a request from a prof who wants to build two persistent URLs, one that would behave normally, but a second, which he would include with a mobile icon, that would force a link to open within Browzine, if installed.

On iOS, you can now click a link from any webpage that points to “browzine://” and it will open the app. Thank you for the suggestion!

Hi, I have tried this on my iPad and it doesn't seem to be working as described. I embedded BrowZine Web links to some journals in my LibGuides, and when I'm on my iPad (that has BrowZine installed) when I try to open the journal links, I am sent to a "getting started with BrowZine" page that directs me to install the app.
This happened the first couple times I tried it. Then it started displaying a message "Open in BrowZine" that flashes very quickly. When I did act fast enough to click OK, it just sends me to my BrowZine bookshelf, not the journal I was trying to get to.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the suggestion! To be clear then, the user wants to be able to have a link that when tapped from the Safari browser on their iPad would automatically launch BrowZine and start loading that specific article so as to make use of the tools BrowZine offers for reading, saving, exporting, etc. Does that sound right?
Thanks,
John
