Automatically launch VPN App if needed by BrowZine
Some institutions require VPN apps to use BrowZine such as Cisco's AnyConnect or Junos Pulse. Automatically launching these services when required would streamline BrowZine use while off-site for these institutions.
16 votesWe have opted not to pursue this feature due to its technical complexity.

Include dates of coverage for publications
On the list of covered publications at http://support.thirdiron.com/knowledgebase/articles/132654-what-publishers-do-you-support would you include dates of coverage? If this requires a more comprehensive list of specific titles for each publisher so much the better (but sorry for the extra work :-) )
6 votesAll titles are available from 2005 to present in BrowZine presuming they were published at least that long and that the metadata is in good standing. Maintaining that detail level at the title level would likely be untenable, I’m afraid. :) If you are interested in more detailed coverage for titles covered for your library contact us at support@thirdiron.com and we are happy to help further!

Show article file size
Could the pdf article file be size be shown? It will help users decide whether to download when they are using mobile data internet. Some article file sizes could be really huge and one wouldn't know until the article has been clicked and the download process has started.
2 votesUnfortunately, we do not have ready access to this data and in fact some publisher’s websites do not even show this data to us WHILE you are downloading an article! While this sounds like a nice enhancement, it is unfortunately not technically feasible.

Export from BrowZine to Sente 6
Please add Sente to your supported bibliographic systems for direct export of articles from BrowZine (export that retains article metadata) much as you already have for Zotero and Mendeley.
7 votesAs Sente has been unresponsive about providing an API, I’m afraid we’ll need to close this request for now. If you are a heavy Sente user please contact them to encourage them to reach out to us with this information at support@thirdiron.com. Thank you!

Downloading all articles of a journal issue with one click
a user indicated that he would like a button through which you can download all articles of one journal issue with one click. Especially when he is going to fly, it makes it easier to check out articles.
3 votesWhile this does sound attractive, this would constitute “spidering” a publisher website and would violate many license agreements as well as potentially activate the “trip wires” in place by so,e publishers to ban certain IP addresses from access. Thus, we will not be implementing a feature like this.

Add a desktop version of Browzine.
A desktop version of Browzine that would work much like the mobile interface, but through a normal desktop computer.
27 votesSorry folks – no desktop version, but a web version (accessible from your desktop of course) has been announced – watch this suggestion: http://support.thirdiron.com/forums/181845-browzine-features/suggestions/5890378-add-a-web-version-of-browzine for more information!

Enhance marketing widget to allow for a custom set of library-selected titles to be rotated
To add to the existing automatically selected "top journals" in various areas, provide the library with the ability to hand-build the list of top journals to be used on specific subject guide pages.
6 votesThe marketing widget is being updated now to link specifically into BrowZIne for the web at ANY taxonomy level. This should allow some great flexibility, but at the same time we have opted for this approach rather than a system whereby you can create completely custom groupings on journals. Hopefully the linking into BZ Web for “instant gratification” of being able to access these titles makes up for this change of direction! Look for the new widget to be available starting the week of July 20.

Enable saving articles to Paperpile
Integrate with Paperpile reference manager
2 votesUnfortunately, we have not heard back from that team, so we will decline this suggestion at this time. Thank you!

Create a compatible app for use on Macs
I don't know if Apple has any sort of migration assistant to help develop iPad apps into Mac apps, but I would prefer to have more screen real estate to read journal articles. And having a Mac app would be another incentive for more university libraries to sign up, since a large percentage of students have Macs.
18 votesWe will not be making a stand-alone Mac App, but a web version (accessible from your desktop of course) has been announced – watch this suggestion: http://support.thirdiron.com/forums/181845-browzine-features/suggestions/5890378-add-a-web-version-of-browzine for more information! We hope this solution which of course will run on PC’s as well should provide the additional real estate and wider reach this suggestion is noting!

Add Emerald E-books
They have issn and are treated almost as journals
2 votesThank you for the suggestion, but BrowZine is only designed for Journals at this time.

Allow downloading of articles previously saved in Zotero.
Allow loading of saved articles from my Zotero library and my PC so I can keep all my journal articles on my BrowZine bookshelf.

Thank you for your comment! However, there are a number of great apps already out like this which we would recommend, including this one called Comics by Comixology: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/comics/id303491945?mt=8
Because of their longstanding existence in this market space we have no plans to bring BrowZine into this domain. Hope you give “Comics” a try!
