It appears that IABE journals require a individually created user account in order to access articles and that there’s no capability to authenticate users based on IP address. Since this would pose a number of problems for BrowZine users, we are reevaluating whether this publisher can be included or not.

Unfortunately it appears that once this title was transferred to Springer, they opted to classify it as a book series versus a journal. Since the metadata format for books is fundamentally different from journals, we’re not able to include it in BrowZine at this time. We’ll keep the request on file to revisit should our technology evolve to include books or should the publisher change practices and begin to treat it as a journal instead.

After closer examination, we do not believe including this platform is feasible at this time. The search capabilities for AgEcon Search would make it difficult to reliably direct users to the specific article requested since there is no way to supply an article-specific identifier (like a DOI) or to provide the typical metadata used in openurl searches (like volume and issue number, page number, etc).

We have also seen some problems with incomplete coverage for specific journals — BrowZine relies on sources having complete coverage for the years indicated. This appears to be more of a repository for at least some titles where only selected articles are available.
