Exporting Citations From BrowZine to RefWorks (iOS, Android & Web)

Exporting to RefWorks on iOS

To export an article from BrowZine to RefWorks, tap the icon shown in the top right corner after you've downloaded an article. This will display some options including exporting to RefWorks.

You'll need to login with your RefWorks account.

Resetting Your RefWorks Login on iOS

If your RefWorks account changes or if you're having problems with BrowZine exporting articles to it, it may be helpful to log out of your RefWorks account and back in. To do this, tap the "Settings" option and look under "Citation Services." You should see a list of all citation services you are currently logged into.

Tapping any of the options shown will have BrowZine delete your saved login information for that service. The next time you attempt to export a citation to it, you will go through the same process as your first attempt and be prompted to login.

Exporting to RefWorks on Android

To export an article from BrowZine to RefWorks, tap the icon shown in the top right corner after you've downloaded an article. This should display some options including exporting to RefWorks.

Exporting to RefWorks From BrowZine Web

To export an article from BrowZine to RefWorks, click the academic cap icon shown below the article's title and authors; this same icon is also shown under saved articles in "My Articles." This will display a number of options including exporting to RefWorks.

You may be prompted to login to your RefWorks account. If you're already logged into RefWorks in the same browser you're using to access BrowZine, you may not.

Other Common Questions/Issues

I see some citation management options offered but not RefWorks.

Because RefWorks is a subscription service, it is not automatically turned on for all accounts. If your institution subscribes to RefWorks and you do not see it shown as an option, please contact support@thirdiron.com to let us know!

Why do I need to keep logging back into RefWorks?

Due to limitations in the RefWorks API, we are not able to handle your RefWorks login in the same way we can for other citation management services. You will be prompted to login more than usual as a result.
