Automatic Sync
Third Iron and Serials Solutions work together to automatically sync holdings for our mutual customers.  If you would like auto-holdings please contact us at [email protected] and we would be happy to coordinate with Serials Solutions to set this up for you.

Please also make sure you have checked the option "Display In: 360 Core" in your Client Center profile for all publishers. This option MUST be checked for all titles, otherwise those titles will not export with your automated BrowZine holdings reports.

Note that automated syncing is available on a monthly basis at this time. We receive the files on the first day of every month. If you ever need to have your holdings updated more frequently for any reason, you are welcome to manually export a report at any time.

Below is information for manually doing this same process in case that is desired for your particular circumstance.

Manual Upload

For Intota the procedure is simply to generate the “Tracked Resources” report from the Management Report workspace. The Management Report workspace can be accessed from Reports in the navigation bar or under the Administrative heading on the home page.

Select “Tracked Resources” from the dropdown menu and assign your report a name. Then click the Request Report button.

The report will take 10 minutes or more to generate, depending on the number of holdings in your profile. Click the Refresh List button to see it appear in the reports list under “Reports available for Download.” In addition, you will receive an email at the address associated with your user account to alert you that the report is ready for downloading and viewing.

It may be necessary to edit the Tracked Resources report in order to remove unwanted titles. The Tracked Resources report includes all titles that have a status other than Not Tracked, so the report will include titles with statuses like Cancelled or Archived. If you do not want these resources exported to BrowZine, open the .csv report with Excel and remove those resources.

When you are finished editing, be sure to save the file as a Comma Separated Values (.csv) file. Click "continue" if Excel gives a warning message that will read something like "This workbook contains features that will not work or may be removed if you save it in the selected  file format. Do you want to continue?", though you may not receive this error message.

Please ZIP the file to reduce its size. As these are text files they tend to shrink pretty dramatically with compression easily clearing the 30MB maximum upload file size.

When finished, please visit the holdings upload page to upload your holdings document to us.

We will notify you when your holdings have been loaded for your library.
