How to disable Nomad/Nomad++ in an individual browser

In group install situations, an individual user is not able to remove Nomad from their browser as management of its presence is covered by that organizations policy.


While most of the time this is a good thing, if an individual user is not pleased with the functionality of Nomad it can leave an IT group with few options other than doing some surgical exceptions to the policy or to remove Nomad for everyone.


Third Iron has developed a much simpler tool to aid in these situations.  Within Nomad's Options menu the end user can simply choose to "Pause" the functionality of Nomad which effectively causes it to cease all function even though the software is still technically installed in the browser:




When they do this, the Nomad icon transitions to a "paused" state as well  as a visual cue that this is why the user is no longer seeing any Nomad enhancements to their web browsing experience.  When the user sets it back to Active the pause icon is removed from Nomad in your list of extensions in the browser or in the browser bar if Nomad is visible there as well:
