Commitment to Accessibility
Third Iron is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards during the design, development, and maintenance of our products and services. We monitor accessibility using a combination of automated and manual testing tools and actively remediate known issues.
Conformance Documentation
Third Iron products aim to conform to the following accessibility standards and guidelines:
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as adopted by THEC/TBR accessibility policy.
We are presently working towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) documentation is available here:
Third Iron VPAT Version 2.5 Completed October 2024 (WCAG 2.2 AA)
Accessibility Evaluations and Testing
Third Iron products undergo regular accessibility evaluations using ArcToolkit, Color Contrast Analyzer and Target Size.
Manual testing is performed by QA engineers familiar with accessibility compliance.
Testing includes keyboard-only navigation, screen reader compatibility (JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver).
Accessibility Gaps and Remediation
We acknowledge that not all areas of our products may yet fully conform to accessibility standards. When accessibility gaps are identified, we:
Document them internally.
Provide workaround solutions when available.
Schedule remediation based on the severity and impact of the barrier.
An Accessibility Conformance and Remediation Form is available upon request for institutions needing documentation of roadmap plans for full compliance.
