Enable E-Book linking within LibKey Nomad for OCLC WorldCat

Modified on Thu, 31 Oct at 2:52 PM

In order for LibKey Nomad to be able to find e-books to which it can link, Third Iron needs to receive a WSKey for the WorldCat Knowledge Base API for your library.

You will need to make this request via the Developer Network WSKey user interface.

You will be presented with a form and a series of services to which you want to assign the key, so be sure to select "WorldCat Knowledge Base API".

The form will also ask you about the reason for the request to which you can select the "Other" option and specify "LibKey Nomad E-Book Integration"

... and finally in the "Select Application type" choose "Machine-to-Machine (M2M) App".

In submitting that form, OCLC should follow up with you to provide the WSKey.  When you have this you'll receive several parameters back from OCLC, one of which will be called "Client ID" which will be a VERY long string of numbers and letters.   This is the value that Third Iron requires to proceed.

Please simply start a ticket to our support desk with your library name and your WSKey and request for this feature to be turned on in Nomad.
