The Authentication Loop Type is designed to take a user from the page the message appears on back to the same URL they are currently viewing, but now with authentication. If instead you want to send the user to a new authenticated URL or need to authenticate them to a SAML resource, you should use Authentication Link type instead.
Common Use Cases
The main use case for this type is to take the user from the current URL when they are believed to not be authenticated and bring them through your organization's authentication point (Proxy/OpenAthens, SSO, etc.) and back to the current page so they can access resources that require authentication.
The loop is managed internally by Third Iron, so any supported authentication system you are using that has already been configured for linking to content within BrowZine/LibKey will be automatically utilized here and you do not need to do anything extra to specify this. As such, the Authentication Loop type does not allow you to specify a Link URL parameter as the link building is all done automatically by Nomad++.
