What changed
[Release Pending, ETA March 2026] The BrowZine Android app has been updated to version 3.0.0.
Behind the scenes, the app now runs on the BrowZine web platform inside a modern Android wrapper, bringing:
Improved performance and stability
The updated app uses the same core platform as BrowZine Web, providing a more consistent and reliable experience across Android devices.
Better long-term Android support
Modernized underlying technology helps ensure continued compatibility with new Android versions and device types.
Faster access to new features
Because the Android app is now more tightly integrated with BrowZine Web, future enhancements can be delivered to Android users more quickly.
A familiar BrowZine experience
The overall look and feel remains very similar. The app is now powered by BrowZine Web within an Android wrapper, replacing the previous native Android codebase.
Actions to take
1. Update the app.
You should receive an automatic update notification on your device.
You can also manually check for the update:
- Open the Google Play Store
Search for “BrowZine”
Tap "Update"
New users: Search for “BrowZine” in the Google Play Store and tap Install.
2. Open the BrowZine app after updating.
3. Review the welcome message.
All users will see a one-time welcome message explaining the update. Tap Ok to dismiss it.

Welcome to the new BrowZine Android app! This new version of BrowZine is designed around long-term compatibility and performance for a wide range of Android devices available now and in the future. This new version also interacts with BrowZine's web version allowing for new innovations introduced on that platform to immediately be available within the Android app.

New users will also be prompted to review and accept the BrowZine Privacy Policy before continuing.
4. Choose your library.
5. Sign in to your BrowZine account.
To access your saved titles in My Bookshelf and My Articles, sign in with your BrowZine account credentials.
